Shafallah celebrates the graduation of a new batch of affiliates for the year 2024

H. E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H. E. Mrs. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Missned, Minister of Social Development and family, and a number of Ministers, Ambassadors, and a number of dignitaries and invitees from several parties in the state, witnessed the graduation ceremony of the Shafallah Center' affiliates for people with disabilities (batch 2024), numbering up to 43 affiliates, who received specialized educational and rehabilitation services according to the highest international standards in order to develop their self-abilities, develop their skills and enhance their integration into society.

In this regard. Mrs. Maryam Saif Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Shafallah Center, expressed her pride in the graduation of Shafallah members and invites them to continue giving and creativity to integrate society and participate positively in building the homeland, they understand the source of inspiration, determination, determination, challenge and the ability to give without limits.

Al Suwaidi praised the support of Her Excellency Mrs. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Missned, Minister of Social Development and family, and the efforts of the "Ministry of Social Development and family" in adopting policies and programs that support people with disabilities in the country, in line with the interest and support of the wise leadership and the esteemed government for these energies, so that no one is left behind.

She pointed out that the promotion and protection of the rights of persons with disabilities is one of the top priorities of the state of Qatar, as the state spares no effort to integrate the issues of persons with disabilities and their needs in all its policies and programs, and is constantly monitoring and following up on their implementation, and their support and empowerment is an integral pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030, believing in the importance of protecting human rights in general and the rights of persons with disabilities in particular.

On this occasion, Al Suwaidi offer Congratulations to the parents of the graduates for sharing their joy and the joy of the homeland by graduating, she expressed her pride in this achievement achieved by their children, and praised their determination, perseverance and unlimited ambitions, appreciating the ability of their support, support and great cooperation with the center to achieve the success of all rehabilitation plans and social integration of their children.

It is worth mentioning that Shafallah center works hard to provide all support and advice and seek to enhance job opportunities and career advancement for people with disabilities in the labor market, as well as helping in finding and obtaining work in cooperation with various ministries and state institutions. Shafallah center is always proud of the achievements of our graduates to build the community and complete the process of building and development under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the country, (may God protect him).

On the other hand, one of the participants delivered a speech on behalf of Shafallah Center graduates. In it, he stressed that he and his fellow graduates underwent intensive training and rehabilitation from experienced professors and specialists, and he and his fellow graduates learned many social and functional skills that enabled them to integrate into society and contribute effectively to serving the homeland. 

In another context, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Her Excellency Mrs. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Missned, Minister of Social Development, inaugurated the Infinite Love sculpture, an artistic sculpture handwritten in Arabic calligraphy in an unconventional way where the letter H meets at the beginning of the word and overlaps with the letter B in imitation of the infinity), and Qatar Museums contributed to the implementation of this artwork in support of the Shafallah Center's efforts to celebrate its silver jubilee and the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Shafallah Center.

On the occasion of the launch of "endless love", Mrs. Maryam Saif Al Suwaidi, Executive Director, stated that the launch of this artwork comes in honor of the efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser (may God protect her) over 25 years of support and commitment towards children, parents and employees at Shafallah Center for people with disabilities, and also appreciated the efforts of "Qatar Museums" in supporting the efforts of Shafallah center and contributing to its celebration of the silver jubilee Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani -Chairman of the board of Trustees of Qatar Museums, for his unlimited support in the implementation of this work of art.

 It is worth mentioning that the one who designed the figure (endless love), Qatari artist Bashaer Al-Bader, a Qatari calligrapher, started her journey in Arabic calligraphy in 2016, The artwork symbolizes the feeling of infinite love rooted in the depths, which reflects the meanings of belonging, solidarity and cooperation between citizens and residents, as well as pride in the Arab identity and cultural diversity that abounds in the state of Qatar. This work of art has become her message that she wants to convey to the people of the world to endlessly simplify the bridges of love. 

It should be noted that to preserve the rights of persons with disabilities in the state of Qatar, the Shafallah Center for persons with disabilities was established in 1999, with the aim of providing exemplary services to people with disabilities ,Intellectual disabilities and autism under the age of 21, in the field of special education and rehabilitation, as well as community awareness of their issues and rights to obtain a more independent life and maximize their integration into society. The center has been operating since 2013 under the umbrella of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, which in turn reports to the Ministry of Social Development and family.
