Doha, capital of Qatar, is commonly referred to as the “City of Balance”. While Qatar’s citizens recently surpassed Luxembourg as having the highest per capita income in the world, it keeps its traditions and culture close to its heart. Located on the east coast of Qatar in the heart of the Gulf, Doha is the major commercial centre of the country, and holds the main port. Edged on the east by Corniche bay, it is quickly earning a global reputation for excellence in hosting major events, including the 2006 Asia Games and the Forbes CEO Middle East Forum. |
