Who Are We?

Shafallah Center was established in 1999 under the guidance of Her Highness Sheikha Bint Nasser to meet Qatari society need to create a comprehensive, leading, and non-profit center dedicated to children with special needs. The center provides specialized services in accordance with scientific basis and standards within the best practices to achieve maximum independence for individuals with disabilities, and to spread disability awareness through a highly efficient team of world-class programs.

Our Mission

Based on the mission of Qatar Foundation for social Work, we help people with intellectual disabilities and autism by providing model services in the state of Qatar, in the areas of education, rehabilitation, community awareness, and human rights support in order to achieve more independent life and to activate their inclusion in the society.

The Center aims to:

1.    Provide comprehensive educational, medical, rehabilitation, social, vocational and recreational services for individuals with special needs.

2.    Provide counseling and support services to families of children and adults with special needs, including individual and group sessions.

3.    Conduct research and studies for the purpose of finding out the causes of disability and ways to prevent it.

4.    Provide community awareness on dealing with children with special needs, as well as fostering acceptance and understanding of the nature of disabilities.

5.    Qualify specialized staff, can keep pace with the latest developments in special education field.

6.    Work on finding job opportunities for the targeted groups in society that match their potential and abilities.
