One of the most important additions to the spectrum of services provided by Shafallah to its students and community is the three-dimensional digital theater. It is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and image technology, the first of its kind in the Middle East. Various cinematic shows are shown in the theater to suit the needs of the audience, such as educational, scientific, documentary, fictional and entertainment screenings.

The theater also serves as a gathering point for audiences of various educational and cultural backgrounds, attracting spectators who want to enjoy the latest in audio/visual media. Despite the technology, the theater goes back to its primary role as a technologically advanced medium that will introduce the community to the Shafallah Center as well as a reliable dissemination center for community awareness about disabilities in general.

The Digistar theater has a core educational function and is the link between the Shafallah Center and the latest important events and educational screenings such as conferences, debates and fairs held in Qatar and internationally. The control room is fitted with the latest technology that allows for re-screenings as well as live coverage via satellite, and provides subtitles with simultaneous translation in Arabic, English, French and German.

The Digistar 3 product line uses powerful graphics hardware and software to generate immersive full-dome images on the interior surface of a dome, integrating all-dome video, real time 3D computer graphics, and a complete digital astronomy package.

Designed as a state-of-the-art 21st Century digital planetarium instrument, Digistar 3 is a fully integrated system that replaces the need for traditional planetarium equipment such as slide projectors, special effects projectors, slewable video projectors, etc. Digistar 3 provides all the features you'd expect with all the benefits of digital technology, all from one easy-to-use computer console. Digistar 3 even has a PocketPC wireless remote control!
